Help! Installing OEM Navigation unit in 08 civic (what is exactly needed?)
I am piecing together all the parts to covert my car from having the oem cd player to the oem navigation. I am coming across different part numbers for the navigation units. I have a 08 civic ex. Does anyone know if any 06-10 navigation unit will work in the 08? Meaning out of the si or another ex? Researching into it I dont think I can get away with the hybrid civic navigation, but it looks like the ex or si will work. Anyone have any help or advice?
Thanks in advance

Re: Help! Installing OEM Navigation unit in 08 civic (what is exactly needed?)
I followed everything I could find off of 8th gen civic. Now I just need help wiring together the navi microphone talk back and the two steering wheel buttons. But everything else works great...

Re: Help! Installing OEM Navigation unit in 08 civic (what is exactly needed?)
After doing the OEM swap I would probably just buy an after-market unit with DVD ect. However, if you do stick to oem make sure you either use the premium if you already have a premium stock stereo or the non-premium navigation unit if you have a non-premium unit. Best bet is to find a crashed car to pull everything out you need. I was successful installing the 06 Navi unit into an 08 civic, lots of work, but it works great. Good luck.

Re: Help! Installing OEM Navigation unit in 08 civic (what is exactly needed?)
I've searched these forums and several others, but cannot find anyone who has done a step by step "instruction" for replacing a non-navi 2006 HCH with an aftermarket Kenwood/Pioneer double din in an OEM dash kit. Does anybody here have the step by step on upgrading from the OEM CD player to an aftermarket or OEM navi? A video would be even better.
Thanks,
Ken

Aftermarket NAV radio won't work in a OEM double din dash... You need to get either the Metra or Scosche kit.

Does anyone have any info for programming oem navigation unit on a 2007 Honda Civic?
The buttons for the sat/nav aren't working, So unable to use it. But everything else seems to work. Dealer wants $$$ for programming according to them that will fix issue. Appreciate your guys help. Maybe some tsb or any kind of info from service manuals? Thanks again guys.
