Yes, 95% of those miles are all highway mileage.

Thank you for the info.

I just dropped my oil at 800 miles for the break-in period and changed to synthetic.

It is not by mileage like old GM. ECM/PCM calculate mileage and engine temperature when you start/driving.However ECM/PCM can not calculate time).
Some people said, it's been 1.5years since oil change and maintenance said 30% left. As per Honda manual, oil change required least once/year even though life still ok.(cause moisture issue).
It is ok to drive till hit 5%.(it showing from 15% left though).
Any question? let me know tonyincanada@yahoo.com.

So let me get this straight, if when I bought mine it said there was 40% left on the oil life, its most likely a wise decision to change it before it gets to ~10% remaining? So everyone is saying don't trust the oil life meter, and just change every 3-4000?

it's not always about the manual here people. i needed to adjust my headlights WAY down, (i guess whoever owned my car prior like to look up into the trees while driving) so i looked in the manual. what did it say?...btw im paraphrasing... Your headlights were aimed properly when your car was new. Thanks, now **** off. Useless.

I figured it out btw, before anyone jumps up my ***. i did need a 8 foot long screwdriver *rolls eyes* lol

I turned the ignition to ON with the engine OFF, I dont have RUN option. there are 'ACC' 'ON' and 'START'. I have a 06 colorado. And, i also change the oil on my honda fit myself. most other cars do not have oil life monitor so this tip is a big help.
