Default Bank 1 too lean

Hey guys...most of you will remember my thread about my car from a few weeks ago https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2006-2015-79/help-my-si-angry-2511767/.

Lately, I've had a "bank 1 too lean" CEL come up a few times. I'm not sure that it is my SRI anymore, since I've experienced problems with and without it. I've searched and it seems that bank 1 is the upper O2 sensor. Any techs or someone with experience know if "bank 1 too lean" would be a bad O2 sensor? Also, would a bad O2 sensor cause the same problems mentioned in the above link?

Any help is appreciated, and car is going to Honda. Just want some info before it does.

Is that the only code you're popping up? Any weird behavior from the car? Could be the primary O2 sensor.

Go to the link I provided in the original post. It describes the problems I was having and the codes that came up. I haven't had any of those codes recently though, except for the bank 1 too lean code.

Yeah, I read through that whole thread, that's why I was wondering if it was still exhibiting any weird symptoms, or if you're just getting this one new code all by it's lonesome...?

man you kno whats wild. I was heading home the other day and i threw a code got it checked and it was a bank 1 to rich. somehting like a p1079. My car somtimes sputters at lower rpms like its trying to move but its like stalling. Or i will press gas 100% at likke 2500 in 3rd gear and it will pause backfire and then take off.

Currently it's all by it's lonesome. It stalled once again a week or so ago, and that was it for the old symptoms. As of the past week, it's only been the too lean code, except for the rough idle which one dealer said is normal.

Yeah I think the "too lean" code is p1071 or something similar. Did you get it checked at a Honda dealer? If so, did they say what was causing it?

It could be the front O2... I've had to replace a few on my Ford for dumb codes like that. Too lean could also be a vacuum leak somewhere as well... My brother is dealing with the same code on his DC4, but his likes to shuffle/bog around 3k rpm's.

I went to autozone and had it read for free then had them pull it up and that what it was. I had it reset and havnt had a CEL since. That was about a week ago now that i think about it. The dealer would look at my car and say that its realted to my coilovers or related to the fact that i have a c/f hood. They do all that they can to blam problems of the car on the aftermarket parts.

Check for an intake leak, tubing/gasket spray brake clean on everything and see if they engine slows down or hiccups. At my job that code is common on 2.4L hyundai's and its the intake manifold gasket 99% of the time. just thought id throw that in there.
