adjusting wiper intervals
anyone notice the wiper intervals are long? if i use the "slow" one, it takes forever before the next wipe. if i use the next one, it is too fast for light rain/drizzle. is there a way to adjust the intervals?

Re: adjusting wiper intervals (Type X)
it also adjusts to the speed of your car..... intervals are shorter at highway speed rather than at a stop light.

Re: adjusting wiper intervals (civic-cpe)
I had a civic at work where the variable **** for the intermittent time didnt work...no matter what setting you put it at, it went the same speed.
EVERYTHING tested fine, it drove me nuts for almost an hour.
the HDS could control everything normally.
running through all the FSM tests showed no problems.
finally pulled the switch out and looked at the pins...the pin that went to the ground side of the variable **** was bent over and not connected to the wire harness new switch solved the problem.

Re: adjusting wiper intervals
didnt even remember posting this.
08 civics dont have the "swivel" option. at least i didnt see it. my 97 civic had "swivel" wiper control which i like since i can leave it on low and use the manual wipe. 08 is either pushing it up for manual wipe, and 2 or 3 more speeds below the off position. so if i set it to the 2nd speed after off position and need a quick manual wipe, i need to go thru 2 positions to get to manual, and then have to adjust back. annoying...

Re: adjusting wiper intervals
Yes '08s do have it. You've had the car this long and still haven't figured out the windshield wipers? Have you seen the inside of the glovebox? Man when you finally figure out the brainteaser that is "opening the glovebox", it will be the greatest day of your life.
