Default 2006 EX Brake issues

Just curious if anyone else has had brake problems with their civic. I have the sedan EX, bought it back in April 09. I bought it used and during the test drive noticed some wobble coming from the front, felt like the rotors. I mentioned it to the dealer and took it to my mechanic who replaced the front pads and rotors and the dealer paid the tab.

I drove the car for about 2000 miles without noticing any wobble or vibration, then started to notice something. I had the oil changed because it was due and the tires rotated. About 3000 miles later the problem was very noticeable and every time I came to a stoplight it felt like there was pulsating and the brakes needed changing. I took the car to my mechanic and told him about the issue. We took a look at the car on the lift, the brakes looked fine but the tires had flat spots on the inside edge of all 4 tires. I was pissed. I took it to the honda dealer to get a second opinion and they told me there was a TSB out for the rear upper control arms.

I had the control arms replaced and used the extended warranty I purchased when I bought the used car. They also took care of the rear brakes because they were due, as well as performed a 4 wheel alignment. I then had to go buy some new tires so I wouldn't feel the flat spots. I went out and found a good deal on some Cooper CS4 touring tires.

After the new tires the car felt completely different, like a whole new automobile. I felt like I went from an old beater to a Lexus like ride. Well this was nice while it lasted. Now about 3000 miles later and hundreds of dollars in parts and labor the car is again starting to feel like it is pulsating when coming to a stop. I am lost as to what the heck is causing this. I am a very cautious driver and always put light pressure on the brakes when coming to a stop. I just want the pulsation to go away!! HELP! Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

i was searching around for brake issues with 2006+ civics and found that if the caliper pins A and B are switched around will cause vibration, uneven or rapid brake pad wear, and possibly uneven tire wear.

Ekb16,

Thanks for that info. I will have the mechanic check it out. I can see him getting distracted and switching them. I assume the caliper pins are different sizes and this creates the vibration??

Thanks!

Thanks for the picture diagram, I appreciate it. I see the difference and I'll have them check it.
