yea i know, the dealer said dont come back till it hit 15% but i wanna keep the oil clean, the service guys say bring it back at 7k so your motor breaks in and some say bring it in at 1k-2k so it cleans the shave metal

Let's review

1) Oil Monitor on car
2) Oil schedule in manual

Pick one or the other and read it.

Doesn't it void your warranty on your engine if you don't get your oil changed at a certified shop?

I know here my buddy had a lot of trouble when his engine blew because he didn't have all his receipts for oil changes. The dealer had most of then on file from the previous owner, but there was 20k worth that they didn't have record for. They told him they couldn't cover it unless he provides receipts for those oil changes. He ended up tracking down the original owner and they did have the receipts so all was ok after....

No they can't void your warranty if you do your own oil changes. Just make sure you keep ALL your receipts, tighten that oil pan bolt properly and use a crush washer on your oil filter.

The alignment is probably not what is off. Check the tire pressure.

whoever told you to change your oil at 1k,2k,3k,5k,7k etc.... is a complete tool. and has made you look like one as well for posting this. follow your oil life meter. and if you do decide to change it soon, just check and see these "metal shavings" for yourself cause they dont exist.

Use your oil life meter. Honda engineers are smarter than anyone that tells you to change the oil different from Honda (no offense). + fyi there are additives in the oil from the factory that you should leave in there.

damn Vinnie you're crazy. I thought you were scaling back from the S2k but you just took it in another direction. Nice to see my old brown coupe up there though

Yes.
First oil change DO NOT CHANGE THE FILTER.

Leave it.

If you purchase a filter from Honda. Compare the two. The one you have on the car is different from the one that you get from Honda.

Follow your oil change service meter. My dealership recommends every 3500 miles to get a oil change. I personally do not go 7500 miles but then again, I don't have a warranty that will replace anything.

If your alignment is truely off. Take the vehicle back to the dealership you purchased it from. Talk to your salesman/woman and ask if they could talk to service about a quick test-drive. If they feel it is off, they will align it. We have had cars come off the 'truck' with messed up alignments.

this kid is obviously not mechanically inclined. he bought all his cars like tha, and doesn't have a clue.

he heard that stuff from people who do rebuilds, hone your block, new bearings etc

you change it at 500, 1k then 3k. kid you don't need to worry about it. you didn't built this motor.

obvoius becuase he stated metal shavings.

things you worry about after a fresh deck, hone, line bore/hone and balance.

wait til 15% oil life from your digital read out on your dash. then change it. believe it or not, there is an additive to help set all the seals and bearings.
