Umm...no. I'm from Alabama also (check my location). That other guy from B'Ham is just a jack-***.

BTW, Megan Racing does make a full cat-back exhaust system for the R18 family. I plan on getting one soon.

You guys might as well jump on the Flashpro train. Mods have opened up since Hondata started on the R18 platform.

Well done.

If there was a rating system, I'd say you'd get 5 stars.

Oh wait, there is!

Hey Guys. I have my first Civic. its a 08 sedan lx. I'm looking at doing the Type R Conversion from Procivic with a bunch more upgrades. I want to keep my auto trans because I'm in a big city with tons of stop n go and sometimes traffic jams. Can anybody help me with getting the most power with the auto and be reliable?

Depends how much you want to spend. To get the most power, you would get a turbo kit, most likely TSI. From what I hear is that as long as you keep low boost it can be as reliable as OEM.

If you want to spend lower then a grand, Intake/Exhaust and flashpro is the best way to go, but the turbo is more bang for the buck

You can just go with a strut/lowering spring combo if you just want a good drop but if you want to be dropped to the ground get coils. Im planning on gettin some coils myself and ppl suggested buddy clubs.

You're welcome. We've worked hard over at 8thcivic to get that list constantly updated and easy to use so everyone knows their options. If you go to that thread, you can get the links to each entry there. I don't mean to cross thread the two forums, but combining the lists would be awesome!

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/5731667-post1.html

Oh also, the TWM short shifter for the Si's fits the R18. One of the guys on 8th has the info on it.

Hey can I add something for pulleys? Ralco RZ $200. comes with crank, alternator, and water pump pulleys.
and you dont need a new belt. I have them and they seriously increased my acceleration. I love them

Hmmm, I wonder if these would help with the low RPM latency I have on the R18 before boost kicks in. I don't want it to spool the RPM's too fast because of the Auto Tranny's input shaft, but I I need to relieve some of that low RPM lag I have.

I think it would help you in that area. The pulleys help reduce throttle lag, it's much more responsive when I stomp on it.

Not without extensive modifications to the subframe and engine bay structures. The J block is a lot bigger than you might think.

It has been done in 6th gen chassis, but I haven't seen it in anything newer.
