I have a 2010 honda accord k24z3 that was an automatic but I just swapped in a 9th gen civic si transmission running on my automatic ECU and it's great but now I want to turbo. The problem is it looks like from want I can find Ktuner doesn't offer much tuning options for the 8th gen accord ECUs so I wanted to swap in a 9th gen si ECU as it has much more support and Hondata support as well. But to get past the Immobilizer I was gonna have the dealership flash the ECU to match with my key's code but when I called to ask one guy said it's not possible unless it's the same model car ECU and another dealership I asked said they don't know and that they would have to just try and see. I know there are aftermarket ECUs like kpro and aem but the crank position sensor is different on k24z motors and doesn't work with k24a ECUs from my understanding and aftermarket ECUs are expensive.

Sorry for the long question but i'm stuck because my ECU only supports Ktuner and has very little tuning options for forced induction. Will a 9th gen si ECU be able to be reflashed with my car or do i need an aftermarket ECU and if so do i need a k24a engine to work with a aftermarket ECU?

Immobilizer can probably be made to work. The Honda scan tool probably won't do it.

Aftermarket scan tools like an Autel will do it.

I went through this exercise on a K24Z7 into a CR-Z.

I was able to find someone who has a boosted 8th gen with ktuner so but it's limited to 10 psi because ktuner doesn't support 4 bar sensors which is ok thats enough for my daily.
