Strange sloshing noise from hood/under dash '03 Civic LX Sedan
While waiting for someone in the car outside, with the radio off and in complete silence, I accidentally brushed the accelerator (wearing big boots...) and I noticed that when the engine revved up there was also a noise like liquid sloshing around in a container.
My first thought was something along the lines of A/C or Coolant, but I honestly have no idea what it could be caused by. I haven't noticed this in the past, so I'm a bit anxious to diagnose any potential problems and keep the car running well.
Thanks in advance for any help, I'm really unsure about where to start.

check your coolant level ,if there is air in the system due to it being low it will cause a gurgling sound in the heater core due to air in it and as coolant rushes in when revved up.

Just topped up the coolant (it was already between the min and max, I just brought it to max). I'm now suspecting either air in the system or something being plugged, etc. Seems a lot of other cars (Camry, Coralla, Element, and other Civics) experience this problem but never definitely come to a conclusion as to what causes it.

i think you are checking the overflow bottle (that is the opaque plastic bottle that has the min/max lines on it next to radiator) you need to check the actual level in the radiator itself (cold ) if its to low it cannot pull the fluid out of the overflow bottle into the radiator. so check level in radiator after sitting overnite ,by removing radiator cap (metal cap on very top middle of radiator) it needs to be full to the top of cap hole
