P0335 CKP sensor issue
So I have an 01 civic and check engine light is on failed crank shaft position sensor. I have reset ecm I don't know how many times know I lost count. Problem is I can't get the code to reset. New sensor, replaced pigtail plug, no high ohm reading from the wires from sensor to ecm and still in limp mode. I have a Snap On Modus that I have scoped the CKP sensor at the ecm and the signal looks good I think... will the ecm create a false signal in limp mode? I'm at the point of throwing an ecm in it but don't know if that will solve anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

ME too..
Sometime after i got my head gasket changed, with timing belt and water pump, a trouble light came on it was the crankshaft sensor.. and the car stalled and was weak on acceleration and vibrated.. the light went away and its symtoms.. but came back again.. so my mechanic changed the sensor with one i picked on on ebay cheap.. and he put a new female connector on as well.. he checked the timeing and the timing tooth , he also checked the voltage and signal ... and couldnt find any trouble, yet the trouble light crankshaft sensor is still on and the car still has the bad symptoms of it.. the last thing my mechanic said, it may be the cars ecu and to first get the ecu program update .
Im pretty sure it may be electrical related .. what other things can i test or replace ?
My car is a honda civic 2002 ex 1.7 Luckomatic .

Re: P0335 CKP sensor issue
like I said, I tried three after-market sensors. They tested ok when first installed, but then started to exhibit intermittent problems similar to what you've noted above.
I was about to go down the ECM road, then decided to try an OEM crank sensor. That fixed the problem immediately. I've been driving for six months now without a problem. . .

Re: P0335 CKP sensor issue
I my case, the aftermarket crank sensor tested ok when first installed, but intermittently didn't work. After I replaced the sensor, the car started up, but then the light came back on almost immediately along with other similar symptoms to yours. Sorry that I can't help any further.
