just be sure to look at the block surface and be sure there are no rings from the old gasket left on the studs or it will leak again

i think the pan is acutally in inch pounds, not foot. you have an LX, so you have a steel pan with a rubber gasket. ive done it like 3 times on my car. youll need to get your exhaust out of the way and a transmission bracket that is held in with 4 bolts. it also helps if you remove the clutch dust cover which is held in with two 10mm bolts. then remove the 20 or so nuts and bolts that hold your pan in. be sure to mark where studs go because sometimes the studs come out with the nuts. and like hyaboosta said, make sure you go over the studs and check for any stuck washers from the old gasket. it happened to me once.. wiggle the pan free and it should come straight down.
apply a thin layer of hondabond between the clean pan surface and the new gasket, the gasket only goes in one way, but you dont want to be figuring it out while the hondabond is drying. so fit the gasket, apply the hondabond THEN install the gasket. reinstall the pan/gasket assembly, there is a torque pattern, but i just use the X pattern a few times. then check to make sure they are all on. reassemble then let the car sit for an hour or two and let the hondabond dry. trust me, it makes a difference. that just about does it.
