Default New to the Civic world, and have problems

So I was fortunate enough to score a 2002 Civic EX for $300. It does not run and it was running when parked. Actually my gf's brother was driving it when it quit running and he parked it on the side of the road and walked away from it. So now I have the problem of getting it running. The car will turn over, it just will not start. It has a good and hot battery. When I turn the key 2 clicks I can hear the fuel pump energize, and fill the line, the fuel gauge says it has a full tank. After checking for spark I found that I have spark on the 2 passenger side coils but I couldn't get the 2 coils on the driver side to spark. If there was 1 or 2 coils that were burnt up could that keep the car from starting? Also what is the best way to check the fuel pressure? Thank you for all of the information and help. Maybe I can get this car up and going for my Gf to drive and we can customize it and enjoy it and cruise it.

Ohm test the no-spark coils and replace the spark plugs while you're at it. Any CEL codes?

Well Ron, I believe the CEL is out. It wont even come on when I crank the car, in the first or second key position. I have already replaced the spark plugs also. Tonight I tore into the timing cover to see if it had jumped time. I haven't got the harmonic balancer off yet but I did find that the cam gear is cracked and the motor mounts are shot. I need to get a code reader and hook it up. I will be working on that.

to respond to your first question; yes, having shot coil packs will prevent your car from starting
