It reminds u about maitenance, take it to honda they will know what to do.
You can also get a panflit from honda that says exactly when the light will come on.
it will detail what needs to be done at every set milage.
sayyyyyy
35,000mi - Type B service. Rotate tires, Check Brakes, Oil Change
60,000mi - Replace Timing belt, Oil change, Injector flush
*Im 100% sure that the timing belt needs to replaced a LOT later on 01+'s.
I live in Canada and I was reccommended to change my timing belt at 170,000km's.
So what is that? like 100,000 mi ish.

Re: (MisterFrankieJ)
main required light is the check engine light. my 01 had that lite come on at like 17k mi, i brought it to honda. the code they said didn't mak any sense. so they reset it. then the light came back on like 200 mi later. so when i went to them again to have an estimate done, they reset it again. and again, light came back so i'm just assumin that my car is just not happy. but my sister has a 03, no main requied lite on ever. she has like 21k mi. idk. just give some info.

my 05 had that light come on around 9-10k miles... well the place that had been changing my oil had not reset the computer? i guess so when i took it somewhere else they did that and it hasnt come on since.... theres a way that you are supposed to reset it every time you get an oil change... that involves alot of clicks of the ignition switch or something maybe someoen could tel him exactly how to do this?

Re: (wicivic)
It's in the manual. To turn off the light you turn off the car. Press and hold the button that resets your tripometer. Turn on the ingition to posistion 2. Keep holding the reset button for 10 seconds. The light will go off untill another 10,000 miles are put on the car or until something else is wrong.
