Engine stalls when it is cold.
02 Honda civic ex automatic 175,000 mil original owner. It takes 5 times to turn over engine when it is cold. Rpms cold is 1300 and 900rpms when warm. Once I do get car started I have to let it warm up if not within 30sec of driving car sputters and if I stop at light it will die. Takes about 3 times to get running again. Once Car is warm and running at 900rpms I have no problems at all. Please any suggestions would help alot. Thanks. Phil

Once car is warm at normal idle you can turn it off and start it like normal. It won't stall at all. Does that mean plugs wires and coils are okay

4 spark plugs, 4 coils, and new wires. $334.00 still same problem!!!! Any other suggestions, besides just waiting till car warms up.

Have you tried running any fuel injector cleaner through the system, or trying a product called Seafoam (there is a special procedure for this stuff... so don't just pour it all in your tank)? It can help clear up any gunk in the system. You may have something blocking your fuel system.

I have used fuel injector cleaners but no luck. If it was something to do with the fuel I would think it would happen more than than the first 5 min of driving. No check engine light is on either( that would be to easy). Could it be a o2 sensor going bad!!!

The computer should not use the O2 sensor until after the car is warmed up, so I do not think it is the O2 sensor. Yet this guy had a similar stalling issue and found it was the upstream O2 sensor:

Try re-teaching the computer, per the last post at https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/car-starts-but-stalls-instantly-3003361/. Double check with the shop manual's instructions on "idle re-learn."
Then per other posts for newer Hondas having stalling problems near startup, I would check and adjust as needed the valve lash. This is supposed to be done every 110,000 miles.
