The black mono look is nice, you could put black Civic window trim on, instead of the EL chromed ones from the factory. My 2001 Civic was the same Nighthawk Black, a beautiful colour, although impossible to keep clean.

The car is looking fantastic, bud. I'd love to see some CE28's on there, but that's me.

2001 Acura El premium 2.4L
I have decided to sell my Acura El and get something different for this summer. I bought the El in the summer of 2004 , I was the second owner of the car . It was winter driven the winter of 2004 when it was stock and every winter after that it was always stored away. Most of you know that I had the engine replaced with a K24 bottom end (TSX Block) with a K20z1 head (RSX type-R head) with a 6 speed transmition .
Mileage on the car body is 185 486km and i would have to say about 4000km on the motor.
Stock wheels are included with the stock suspension for the whole car including sway bars and such.

Well since i have my last post i have updated the car just little. A few month ago i found a awsome deal on a Jackson Racing supercharger a top mounted one. So i decided to get to beef up the old 4 door. Afterwards one of my sent me a link that somebody was selling a aftercooler kit from Mercracing and with the aftercooler kit a Mercracing inlet and 3 inch Mercracing pulley . So i jumped for the deal and here is were i am at now. Oh and i also go a second set of headlight that i painted the housing black.
Here are some of the pictures of the the updated build.

mounted it on a test motor to see what i was missing

Polished it up

The core for the aftercooler

some fabrication required to fit it in.

and the battle continues this week.

and my headlight finished product

Well it has been a while since i have updated the Acura EL build. So since last time i have posted we have changed the setup just a hair.Fixed the spun bearing , sent out the block for a re-fresher . We put in a Competition clutch stage 4 , 6 puck sprung ,replaced the exhaust cam from a K24 cam to K20 cam , Wisco pistons 11:1 compression , Manley Rods, MercRacing auto Belt tensioner and new tires Falken Azenius Rt615R 205/50r15 for some traction. Also i sold my 17" Tenzo Type-M to go back to my OEM wheels for a more clean/sleeper look. Have not hit the dyno yet since i was to busy with my personal life this past summer , but i am really pumped to be dynoing it in the spring .

After getting the motor together again we had a issue with the MercRacing belt tensioner that it was rubbing another pulley which we figured out that the tensioner we had ordered and took 4 months to get was only made for a K20 . So we got it measured again and we brought to the machine shop to re-drill another hole that would work with the K24 set up.

Thanks for reading :D
