EDIT: Sorry, that was a bit too dickish of me.
Looks really good by the way, very tidy indeed.

At least they serve a purpose. Running 225's on an 8" wide wheel will get you a lot of road debris on the side of your car, without them.

There are some people that might have bought the car before getting into cars. This is actually a very common event.
My car started out AT.

FYI: Having MT doing "twisties" is much more rewarding but you will understand once you do the conversion.

my parents purchased the car for me. all i told them before is that i wanted a civic and i woke up one morning, went to the garage and found a this car with a big *** bow on top and i was like. damn.
i know having MT is more rewarding, drove few of my friends cars threw the twisties before
autocross isn't a option where i live. there was a group trying to sanction one but it hasn't happened yet

i have an AT, because as 1llmatic so geniously pointed out, the car was bought before i developed an interest in cars.
IMO, there's nothing wrong with an AT. sure less gas mileage and more expensive repairs, but I feel the only reason people find MT "cooler" than AT is because of the Fast and Furious movies.

i drive a MT because i enjoy it. I grew up driving primarily MT and thats how i like it. but i agree that an AT has its purpose. its all personal preference to me.

Re: (awang)
You're entitled to your opinion, but i'm afraid it's wrong.
It's nothing to do with MT being "cool" because of F&F, it's about the rewarding feeling you get when you hit a group of bends and get everything just right; brake late (but not too late lol), dip the clutch and downchange, blip the throttle just the right amount (so the revolutions are matched when you lift the clutch) whilst still braking, then let off the middle pedal and get on the power at just the right moment to pull you through and out of the bend with everything in perfect synch.
That's what puts a mad grin on your face and why people always bemoan AT, simply because you're so removed from what's going on.
