Default Multiplex Control Unit

I have seen numerous threads about how to replace a MCU, sites that "could" sell then, etc. but does anyone have a direct link or part number for a 2001 Honda Civic, 2dr, ex multiplex control unit?

It's inside the under-dash fuse box. To replace:

1. Disconnect battery and wait at least 3 minutes.

2. Pull all wires in front of fuse box.

3. Take out bolt on bottom of fuse box and slide down out of the bracket.

4. Disconnect all wires in back of fuse box

5. Replace and install in reverse order.

Good luck.

So I did the steps exactly above but when I did this, it fixed the problems, however created a new one. The new fusebox/mcu caused the gear shift to not come out of park, put the old mcu back in and could get out of park but had the same issues as before.

Yes. You need one for the correct tranny.

Sorry to bump a really old thread, but my gf just bought a car from an auction (2002 LX) and it looks like this part went bad. No ac no power door locks. Also the car didnt come with the keyless entry although it has it.

The car is currently sitting at the shop, the guy says he really see's no point of this and can bypass everything to make it work. Is this a part i should actually replace or will bypassing be completely fine?

She has plans on putting in a remote start with an alarm down the road.

edit:Hate how it says trail user i been a member since 05 ej1_jdm
