help on trunk spring
i got these new speakers for my 01 civic coupe they are 6x9 for the rear but the bottom of the speakers hit the bars that hold up the trunk that make it spring up...do u guys have that problem? i took the 2 small bars out and now my trunk wont hold up by its self is there anything i can do about this? HELP!

does anyone know if they make a kit for this? im going to be buying the carbon fiber trunk and i dont want to mess up the trunk you know

i got mine from a local guy that has a gas spring distribution/rebuilding business...
the guy not only carried a large variety of lengths, strokes, and spring forces, he was also able to revalve the gas springs for customers...
if you want a trunk lid that opens smoothly, get some strong gas springs revalved w/ EXTRA damping so that it doesn't fly open
