Icon2 2002 Civic non vtec to a vtec

Hi I have a 2002 Civic with a d17a2 but I went from a non vtec to a vtec engine and I have no idea how to hook the vtec so that it will work. I have bought a new vtec ecu as the old one isn't of course. im not sure what all I need to get the vtec working so hoping someone can help me or if there are any shortcuts. anything will help. im not very sure on if vtec controlers are worth it or if I should look into getting a wiring harness. id prefer the simplest solution. the ecu I have is out of a 2003 ex. my car is a lx. the engine is out of an 02 as well

You'll need the EX engine harness, and you'll have to get the ECU matched to your keys and immobilizer ring.
