intermittent problem with radio (2001 Sedan)
The radio seems to completely lose its power randomly. I've changed the headunit to an aftermarket, but the same thing happens regardless. It would be completely fine one day, then the next the radio won't turn on at all.
I'll be checking fuses and wiring, but I don't suspect anything wrong with the fuses (either they supply power, or they don't). I haven't modified any of the wiring in the dash at all, and everything seems to be fine (nothing burnt, nothing suspicious).
Clearly I'm missing something here, any thoughts??

Turn the key so the radio is on and pull out the head unit/climate control pod thing. Then wiggle the harness and see if it turns on and off. If it does you have a loose wire in your harness. Happened to my radio a month or so ago.

Re: intermittent problem with radio (2001 Sedan)
Hmm, it seems I have a different problem now. The radio turns on just fine, the volume indicator rises (as normal on the 01 OEM hedunit), but there's nothing coming out of the speakers what-so-ever. I've tried switching sources/channels, but still nothing comes out, not even a buzz at high volume!
I've checked the connector going into the headunit, but all the pins are clean on both the connector and on the radio itself. What would cause this?
I'm going to try a different OEM honda head unit, if I can find out that fits the OEM connector and see what happens.. However, I doubt anything will change.

All fuses are fine, ground is good.
I'm at a complete loss over here... And I don't have a different headunit to test with to see if the OEM headunit's amp blew.
