2002 honda civic pops out of 5th gear
My 2002 Honda Civic LX has a manual 5 speed tranny and it has been bomb proof up until a few days ago. It has 147,000 miles on it, around only 30,000 on the clutch.
It started out to randomly pop out of fifth gear when i was driving. All other gears work perfect. Now i cant get it to stay in fifth gear for longer than 3 seconds before it pops out.
Is it something simple like a motor/tranny mount or am i kidding my self? I have done research and found different things but no one has actually said what was wrong.
If you could tell me what you think is wrong I would be extremely thankful!

I have already seen this post I have been searching for days on what it could be. Thanks for the link but it doesnt help much. It never said what was wrong. I have checked my fluid and it was not low, I changed it yesterday and that still didn't help.
A few people have said its the synchro but do you think thats what it is?

I had a buddy who had the same issue. Was gonna pull the trans, check all out and found the axle end that goes into the hub had separated. Put it back together and have not had an issue since.
Might not be it, but i'd check both axle hub ends.

Synchro is a possibility, yes.
