auto transmission issues 01 ex em2
I just got my transmission changed at 145k it drives fine but I put it into d3 and the check engine light came on and d4 is blinking. While the shifter is in the d3 position on the dash it say. That I am in 2 I got two codes that it is throwing me p1705 & p0740 any Suggestion?
Another think I have to put it in reverse then back into park to take my key out the ignition since it has been changed.

Try resetting the ECU.
Remove fuse #6 from the fuse box in the engine compartment. Wait a minute then reinstall it.
After resetting the ECU you'll want to do the Idle Learn Procedure. (some people say you don't have to, but it's recommended.) - To do this you start the car and hold it at 3,000 RPM until the radiator fan comes on. Then you let the car idle for at least five minutes. Make sure everything electrical (wipers, heat/ac, radio, etc) is turned OFF before you start this procedure.
If the MIL comes back on, scan it again and post the codes here. Sometimes a simple reset is all it takes. If not, there are these..
From the FAQ's
And Search + "P0740" = https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/p0740-dtc-any-additional-ideas-2958199/
Good luck with it.

The sensor was bad but now I hear the flywheel screaming like on my last transmission I just hope that doesn't mean it's on its way out .
Now what?
