Dyno results
went down to the honda-tech meet in charleston this past weekend and decided to throw my car on the dyno to see what it would make ...i was pretty happy with the results, i was expecting 105-110.....

the numbers on the window sticker isn't the HP that your actually getting to the wheels. you lose some of it due to the drivetrain... and also, having an auto doesn't help this.

i think we were saying that there is no way he got 114/110 out of an a1 w/ i/h/e when i have an a2 w/ i/h/e/pulleys and got 114/109 thus saying he pulled that from the 'brochure'

i think we were saying that there is no way he got 114/110 out of an a1 w/ i/h/e when i have an a2 w/ i/h/e/pulleys and got 114/109 thus saying he pulled that from the 'brochure'

I don't see why or how this post would be beneficial at all. Maybe if it contained a stock dyno if his car and than a dyno with all his mods on the same dyno to show a increase or decrease in power.
Every dyno runs a different number.
example:
Guy with 05' sti goes on dynojet puts down 280whp/290tq stock
guy with 05' sti goes on mustang dyno puts down 220whp/223tq stock
way different numbers, but theortically the "same".
Hell we could see a guy put down 140whp/130tq with a i/h/e but does that mean he'll be faster than a stock em2 or if he just got a run on a high reading dyno.
Every dyno runs a different number.
example:

I know that every dyno reads differently, but for what its worth, heres mine...
2002 Civic EX MT
Mods:
DC Sports 4-2-1 Race Header (same as OP)
'02 RSX-S axleback
K&N FIPK 2 Intake
The dyno was also a dynojet
I made 119 WHP and 112 WTQ, not too shabby.
i also have a Crower Stage 1 Cam BNIB for sale if you're interested in making a few more ponies. PM me if interested. (yea, that was a plug on my part, but can you blame me? )

Very little spiking at all. That's a good readout. As is, my car's dyno sheets don't look nearly as clean as those. No worries, since it's getting some modification.

I'd like to know what type of runs were being made to get that big of a variance. I've heard of a 5-8% variance between dyno companies, but 32% is a serious extreme.

yea, for once, i think that he means it (he wasnt trying to be a jackass ). he basically just meant that there isnt a before dyno so he wouldnt know how much ower he had made after those bolt ons.
