i need to know after the timing belt has broken on a 2001 civic, do i only need to align both cam and crank pulleys with the mark. Or is there a number of turns to respect to know if the cam and crankshafts are at (TDC) top dead center? When the crank pulley is aligned with the mark, will the no 1 piston (cylinder) be a TDC? Is it the same with the cam shaft pulley? When the marks are aligned, will the cam shaft be at the right timing for sure. Since engine is a 4 stroke, does this make a difference on the number of turn on the cam shaft and the crankshaft and the timing? I'm a bit confused with that. When the belt isn't broken, the engine is not out of timing but after it break, what needs to be done?
