It has been sitting unused for over a year cause we lost the key. Got a new key for it today and it won't start. The engine turns and I can hear what I think is the hum of the fuel pump. Put oil in it and gas. There is a green flashing key on the dash and an oil light and maintenance light. Please help, THANKS!

Where did you get the key? That "green flashing key on the dash" is your immobilizer system in action. I'm guessing you did not get a new key from the dealership?

When you replace your key, it needs to be programmed by a dealership or else the immobilizer system will keep the car from running.

We had a mobile locksmith make it. He made the key about two weeks ago but couldn't program it at the time because the gear shift was stuck in neutral so we got that taken care of and he came back today to program it didn't even take him ten minutes. We called a dealership and they said it should have probably taken longer to program so the locksmith is coming back.
