01 Civic EX MT Hesitate Starting
Car has 160K on it. Cold weather has come in New England.
This issue has been an ongoing problem for 6 months, and is worse in the cold.
I'll turn the key to "On" position for 5-10 seconds to let the fuel lines prime
Turn to start, and will hold for 5 seconds before it starts to crank
It got reallllly cold this weekend, and it just refused to start no matter what. After jumping, got the battery tested at Autozone, and replaced the battery. Now it starts every time, but still hesitates.
On top of this, my headlights have been REALLY dim lately even after cleaning and polishing them. The new battery just made them SOOOO much brighter!!!
Another note, the owner before I bought this car, molested this thing. They installed aftermarket remote power locks or something and an alarm. I had Honda bring most of it back to stock because my headlights magically stopped working.... They said they're surprised it hadn't caught fire yet. I'm going to do the Big 3 upgrade here pretty soon and get solid grounds going.
I'm thinking the issue might be:
I can hear the fuel pump running. Battery is brand new. Going to bring it to Autozone and have them test the starter/alternator I think to rule those out.

I'm thinking the issue might be:
- Alternator
- Ignition
- Starter
- O2 Sensor
- Maybe I just need to let the fuel pump work in the ON position for a bit before trying to start?
