Hi I have an 01 civic lx. I had a mcu go bad in my car last month. It was the one integrated into the fuse block under the dash. I made sure to order it from my vin from a Honda dealer and cross checked old and new part numbers. Everything works except the a/c. I have read several things on the forums to test it. The one problem I have found is on the little tank in front of the compressor is a switch that tells the system there is freon. I have checked the freon and it is full. The two pin switch has continuity but when I try and jumper the plug across nothing happens. I have 13.6v at the plug. If I take my test light and touch the pin with voltage the a/c works. One solution given was to run a new wire from the other wire on the connector to the #4 pin on the 14 pin conector on the controller in the dash. I tried this and the a/c works but it is not controllable from the dash it is just on continuously. I am stuck needing to know more. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
