started polishing it but dont know how to get between the HONDA lettering w/ sandpaper. by the way i am starting with 150fine then 220 extra fine then 400 some one said i had to wet the paper? i dont know, but i cant get all the grime that dripped down from the plug holes. oh and i got some generic multy meytal polosh too, anything else work better? or any pics?
you should strip it, then sand it with a soap/ water mix with a really high grit paper. I believe you should end up using a 1500 or 2000 paper in the end. That is what i have found as far as polishing.
ah ha! I remember now! Aircraft remover, yes it actually says that, (WalMart)... garanteed to rid your yard of 747s and get the paint off your valve cover. Only use 800-1500, and even 2000 if you have patience. Lower grit than that and you'll scar the metal.
A polishing wheel with some good hard compound is a must. Sears can help you out in this area.
