I thought I knew all the rare parts until seeing this thread. Honda is a amazing car company they are so advanced I think. Look at 92-95 civic's with those accessories. The brand new cars now have that stuff. Like the Gathers TV, Navi, Air purifier.

This may or may not fit in here, but does anyone know how rare the "Red Wine" interior is on the USDM EG8s? I just got this car, and have no idea. All I know, is almost everybody I tell about, or show it to, say "I've never seen that before."

Hey, you can boast you have a Civic "Type R" interior.

Yeah, I would definitely say they are "pretty rare" without attaching absolute numbers to them. That colour was only available in one model year, 1992. Probably seen 2-3 in the salvage yards that I've trolled for the past year. The 4-drs had three interior colours in 1992:

*NH178L* (EXCEL CHARCOAL) Type F-GRAY
*YR150L* (MYSTIC BROWN) Type G-BROWN
*R104L* (VINTAGE RED) Type R-WINE

In the years following, the 4-dr Civic line was trimmed down to only two interior colours - Gray and Brown.

That's a super clean interior...and you even have the wine floormats

I'd like to see some numbers, but I'd say those are pretty rare. I've never seen one in a junkyard, and very few on the streets.

Thanks. I actually pulled the floormats and front seats immediately after buying it. Now has black rubber mats, and mismatched EG buckets I got for free. I'm saving that stuff for later.

+1 for numbers. I've been looking everywhere, to no avail.

It's really difficult to get production numbers of any sort from Honda.

The Vintage Red interior on 5G Civics was indeed very uncommon though. It only matched to certain exterior colors. The only exterior color I'm aware of that had it was the Rosewood Brown exterior, which it appears your car is this color. Rosewood Brown is a very rare Civic color and was also only offered in 1992.

Found this while browsing around eBay Germany, OEM EJ2

Seems to be a height adjustable light switch, sadly they do not have the lights listed with the auction.

It's not rare here in Europe. Every EDM EG has height adjustable headlights and a switch like that.

@ Ozne99, those wheels are easy to find here in the Netherlands.

What's happening "later" that made you decide to tear apart the matching interior?

Ok here goes... My current project car is a 95 Nissan 200SX SE-R, which will undergo a turbo build, full repaint, etc. I was using a 96 Nissan Pathfinder as a daily driver, but I'm going back to college, and will be driving about 35-40 miles round trip each day. The Pathfinder was a borrowed family vehicle anyways, and got miserable fuel economy (11-14 mpg). So, I bought the Civic, and gave the Pathfinder back. I'll be using the Civic as my daily driver until the SE-R is done. Once the Nissan is done, the Civic will be my next project, but until then, I see no reason to dirty up/wear out the clean seats or floor mats any more than necessary. I'll put the good stuff back in once the Civic's exterior is restored to original condition.

Just the way I am, that's all.

A totally complete set of used authentic JDM 5th Gen Civic Hatchback/Coupe fog lights will sell on eBay for about $160-175 + shipping.

Since the set you posted does not have the complete under-bumper wiring harness for the lights, nor the under-dash wiring harness for the fuse box & switch, it will sell for substantially less - likely about $100.

Though the 92-95 Civic Hatchback Optional Rear Speaker panels were mentioned earlier, here is a photo of the complete set-up including outer speaker covers in black and grey, internal bezels, and mounting bracket with OEM Honda speaker.

The grey covers are likely more rare as they are a true optional colour (along with blue). Black rear speakers were factory-mounted in the 94-95 Si.

These were available in the CDM and USDM markets - not sure about JDM, EDM or other. Available in AUDM, though.

Another little goodie that was an option on JDM 5th Generation Civics was an infrared remote keyless entry system, where the receiver is mounted in the door handle (Note all images courtesy user JDMdecals in this thread).
