OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
I have BNIB EG 4d parking pole (actually 2 of them) and they both snapped the plastic cord in very first try. You can change the cord pretty easily. Just buy a replacement accord power antenna with cord from ebay and either dremel a slot for a thin wire and fill it up with elastic glue, or just carefully melt it inside the cord. You need to carefully measure how much cord you need.

Very happy with my newest purchase.
It's one of the steering wheels from the German Original Zubehör brochure that i haven't seen yet in photo's here. Needless to say i am thrilled to finally have it. 10/10 condition, and bought straight from the company that made it (ATIWE).
Brand new old stock. The thing is so '90s i love it. Now i have to decide which one i'm going to use since i already have another ATIWE OEM
Production date 07/1993
(F1 wheel not mine)

BNIB OEM JDM Honda Acces Shifter and booth (apperently also EDM..? This came from the local Honda dealer in The Netherlands) Deschlong, do you maybe have any aditional info on this?
Deschlong, if you want it scanned let me know
@HiTec: How did you mount the ''new'' wire to the old broken assembly? (seen in your first picture)
Did you sort of melted it together, or glued..? Or..? Please let me know so i can maybe fix my second pole...

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
First i tried to attach it to the existing cord, but its impossible. You need to unscrew the green tip and push LED-assembly off from the pole. When you have the LED assembly in your hands, remove all the metal parts from it and carefully cut it open. You will see how the original cord is melted/glued inside it and how the LED-ground lead attaches to the metal body and to the cord wire via resistor. Just solder your newly fabricated cord inside the LED assembly, glue it back together and put it back together. Just dont forget to add the metal part to the other side of the cord, where the LED gets its +12V.
I used this replacement antenna for the fix: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Antenn...lUdcQT&vxp=mtr
You can fix 2 poles with that one replacement cord.

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
Does anybody recognize these wheels? The seller says they are from a Honda Civic and 13x5". I assume they were a dealer accessory?

Hey guys I'm form New Zealand. I have a jdm spec eg civic hatch with electric, heated wing mirrors (jdm optional extra) in good working condition. Thinking of selling with the switch, wiring and mirrors anyone know what this is worth over in the states? Sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting, not very familiar with this website bit of a noob

Had these lying around for quite a while... Finally took the time to take some good pictures of them..
OEM JDM Bronze window
OEM EDM ''Blue'' window
Bronze vs. Blue
JDM rear window
JDM front windows
Haven't got a picture yet of the front windshield, but i DO have ALL 6 windows
There is another OEM tint window, it's kinda ''grey'ish'', but i'm not diggin it... if i find one window, i will take a picture of it to share
But i love the bronze color a lot more

There's also a "green" glass. It's pretty boring.
That bronze glass is everywhere in New Zealand. You can pick it up locally for ... well whatever the price of door glass is at the junkyard. Usually cheap as chips, and certainly not at a bronze-glass premium.

How did you get them to replace it? Do you have some kind of extra special insurance that covers you outside of the average 5g owner?

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
I was advised by my insurance agent to get the car appraised, which set me back about $300. Best $300 I'd ever spent. The appraisal came in at around $18K. When thieves struck (and failed), I got everything fixed or replaced. Including the bronze window. I wrote a thread about this several years ago...something about "lessons learned after a theft attempt", or something like that.
A couple of years after that, I blew the engine, sold it to a friend who put another GSR engine in it, and he drove it a couple more years before someone t-boned him running a stop sign. The car was a mess. He got it totaled and got $12K out of it. He had to fight the insurance company for it, but I sent him my appraisal (now 4-plus years old) and they finally caved.

Nice! Going to collect all of them? LMK if you want the measurements to build the OEM wiring harness to it. (P.S. Where is the connector to the speakers/light on it? Hiding underneath?)
It lives on ... in my storage. Will be installed in the EH1 though!
Didn't know that your old ride got totalled .... any parts salvaged from it? Or all went in the bin?

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
The wiring was cut... I need to restore the wiring back to OEM (but the price was to it )
If you could give me info about the OEM harness, i would love that!!
If I'm going to build another project with an Eg without sunroof, i will collect the N/R one
For now, this one will do just fine in the whole collection. All my 3 showcases are now filled with rare OEM parts

Here is my info, verbatim from my notes:
Here's a pic of the wiring. (Source)
OEM Gathers Centre Tweeters Wiring and Bracket
Basically the wiring piggy-backs onto the OEM connector for the head unit. The length of wiring between these connectors is 20cm. At the mid point of this, it splits off and goes 250cm to the roof unit.
Code:
