Re: (lilaznsnipah)
i used the tamiya transparent colors and then put a layer of silver ontop of it or on the body to give it the realistic look. try different techniques to see what works for you.

Re: (Kicklow)
yea i think it was prolly old paint... tamiya paints get wack when they old... brand new ones always stick to the plastic, hella better and more solid too... especially the flat black when its old, the paint isn't as solid, n it goes on as semi gloss, thats when u kno ur in need of a new bottle...worth payin that 2.50 for a new one though, saves u time from re painting it

Re: (lilaznsnipah)
just make sure you shake the bottle up real good. if you are referring to the transparent tamiya paint...its supposed to be thin, i just lay 2-3 coats.

Re: (jarel)
Guys for Tamiya acrylics, I would recommend buying a stirring rod, or making one to stir the paint each time you need to use them. Shaking them does not mix properly and also does not allow for true consistency in the paint. It makes the most out of your paint by fully using the paint and thinner. Once you stir, you'll never go back...
Jarel I painted the E30 light GM and layed down the clear, just waiting for it to harden enough to polish out and start the rest of the model...mmm gold LMs See you Thursday for your buddy's Scooby

Hey, thanks. All three are Tamiya, straight from the box. Volvo is box stock 850 BTCC. Porsche is GT2, with custom decals for the champion porsche racing team. It took me a week to cut out the decals! GT-R is KURE racing from Japanese GT car championship, with rims from another kit. The seats on the GT-R were flocked using red flocking material, for realism. All were painted with model master paints and airbrushed using my Aztec. I need to buy a better camera.
