Default 2004 K24 Fuel Filter

Does anyone know of a write-up for the fuel flters. The AccordForum only has late 90's accords.

I am only getting 24-25MPG in my 04 4 cyl manual. Its rated at 26-34. I have taken my rpms no higher than 2500 for a few tanks and i get 25mpg, i dont get any better than 30 on the highway. I dont beat the car to death all the time, if i do, i know my gas milege will be 24 when i check it, which it is, but being very easy on it, i get 25, i got 26 once and that was half highway and half city.

I know my air filter is fine, my tire pressure is at the max PSI. I cant think of anything else besides the fuel filter for a cheap fix/solution. Can anyone think of anything else. I fill up with marathon gas every now and then to get the STP gas treatment.

Thanks... Greg

Your not getting that bad of gas milege. I think the fuel filter is built into the tank though.

your milage is fine they test it under extremely perfect conditions, now your tires being at max is wrong. never go to max, please reduce your tires to 32psi cold your check the side of your door for recommended. theres nothin wrong wit hyour car.

I was going to try using amsoil. What made you pick 0w-20 over the 5w-20, I know you can use both. Also what is the part number for the filter and did you buy in on Amsoil.com or in a store. Thanks

the 0W-20 can actually go like 24 - 30K for a change, and the 5W can only go like 7500 or 15K per oil change... so itll be nice doing it once a year, and i changed it at 60K, so itll be on even numbers, that helps!!

here is a link to the amsoil page with all specs for any model...

Hey man, your bad mileage might be part of the fact that you live in Ohio. Ohio is a cold bearing state for a few months, and it is a known fact when the temps up here in the northeast drop so does our gas mileage. I live in western new york and I know when summer time rolls around I average another 2-4 miles per gallon than I do in the winter driving my car the exact same way.
