Default Need Help Boosting the k24 Accord!!!!!!

Ive researched a lot and ive only found 2 type of bolt on turbos for my 2006 Accord 2.4 One is the Racing tehnology and the other is the Honda Turbo Specialties Turbo Kit

http://www.racingtechnologyco....t.htm

http://www.statracing.com/apps...s.asp

I wanna hit around 250whp on 7-8 pounds I am upgrading the suspension brakes and clutch.. I can tell that the racing tech one is a lot nicer it is also 5500 the the sts isnt anything special but for my hp numbers im trying to get i was also thinking of putting my own kit togethe, something similar to the racning tech as far as turbo and manifold.. what im mainly worried about is fuel managment and tuning .. I would probably run a apexi safc for even closer tuning but dont know if its worth the extra coin.I dont know much about hondata specially on the k24 accord.I am new to the accord since ive been working on mk3 turbo supras for the past 4 years so this is all new to me.. Any help at all would be appreciated..

Apexi SAFC, lol....

First off, 06's are a tougher animal because they have Drive-by-wire throttle system, the same as the TSX. You could theoretically switch throttle bodies with an 03-05, but thats a theory. You're best option is kpro, the most expensive and by far most impressive EMS for k-series engines on the market. It's basically a reprogrammed OEM ECU, but it costs a pretty penny, but its worth every cent. You can also use AEM FIC, Haltech Interceptor (as stated in the RTC kit) and Greddy E-Manage (worst EMS).

The RTC manifold and turbo combo is great, and I would suggest getting their whole kit, with the exception of their EMS. They are a good company and know how to get things done right.

Best of luck, and if you need any help, feel free to ask me.

Ya i like the charts on the gt30r as well i think it will be perfect size for what im going for, So i think im gonna go with that kit, so bassically i need to figure out the drive by throttle response first before i buy this kit?? I think im gonna go with the haltech but im gonna look into the k pro..

Do you have any pics of your setup?...And what fuel managment are you using right now?? And how would my ecu react to changing throttle systems??

The whole throttle body system is a huge headache, and I really can't tell you anything firm, because no one has tried it as of yet. I suggest hitting up http://www.gen7accord.com, I'm a frequent member there, and post your thoughts on a turbo kit and you can get a discussion started about it. We have 6 boosted 7th gen accords on the site, which basically accounts for all of them in the US.

As far as kpro vs. Haltech kit, I personally witnessed one of their kits being tuned on the same dyno, at the same time, and my car made 15 more whp, at 8 psi compared to 9, and on a smaller turbo. The cost difference overall isn't that much different, probably like 900 bucks (Haltech) to 1200 bucks (Kpro) plus maybe another hour of tuning in total.

Again, he also had the advantage in the fuel department, I'm running stock fuel system on 650cc injectors, while he had a Walbro 322 pump and 650 injectors.

Thats the thread on the rundown of my car with videos and pics at the bottom.

That is the thread comparing both the RTC kit with my custom one.
