HELP! Door ajar wont turn off
I own a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe, recently while driving the door ajar sign came on, even though the door is correctly closed it wont turn off. This is a problem because the battery got discharged even though the inside lights were off. Can anyone please help?

Probably a problem with the door switch. Whichever door that is indicated as open, exam the door switch. Open the door, in the door jamb on the car body is a door switch covered by a black rubber grommet. Press the switch several times to see if there is a change in the interior lights. It may either be stuck or may be faulty. It is easy to replace. On most Hondas, you may have to pull off the rubber grommet, the switch is held in with one screw. Remove screw and pull out the switch, disconnect the electrical connector from behind and install the new one in reverse order.
The part number is 35400-S5A-013 and list price is $4.90 at the Honda dealer. Be aware a lot of local dealers may mark-up over list though.

I just checked, for your car, you don't remove the whole rubber grommet. The screw is covered by a cover that is part of the rubber, you need to gently pry the cover to access the screw. I will see if I can post a picture in a short while.
