Default car trouble need help please (white smoke from engine bay)

i borrowed my friends 05 honda accord and its been producing white smoke that smells like exhaust from the engine bay. i can smell it from inside the car while driving but other than that, the car seems to drive completely fine. i popped the hood to check it out and the smoke seems to come from somewhere under/behind the engine itself.

im pretty sure it doesnt have anything to do with coolant because the car isnt overheating at all. i checked the oil level, and it seemed low, so i topped it off but this didnt solve the problem. i didnt mess around with any of the other fluid levels.

thanks guys
