2008 Honda Accord V4 Blinking D light & Check Engine Light
Hello all, first time poster here. I have a problem with my 2008 v4 honda accord. Recently after driving for about 5 minutes, my Drive light "D" started blinking and my check engine light also came on. I am sorry, but I have no idea about anything car-related. If anybody could help me assess this situation, it would be very helpful. Thank you so much for your time!
For more info on the situation:
When I put the car in park, the D light stops flashing and goes away. Also, when I turn the car back on, it takes about a minute of driving for the D light to start blinking again. The check engine light is solid though.
Also, I didn't get an oil change until the oil life was at 20%. Sorry, don't get mad at me!!!

If you can, go to your local parts store and have them pull the codes. If you can't do that, buy a bluetooth OBD2 scanner that is compatible with your phone, as well as a phone app. If you can't find one, or if you aren't sure, then go to Sears and buy this. Actually, that reader is on sale right now - I'd just skip the bluetooth scanner and go straight to buying the handheld unit. Follow the instructions, pull the codes, and post them. Work from there.

I got the codes scanned and it came out to p0842, p0843, and p0771. The first 2 said transmission fluid pressure switch low, high, then the third code was shift solenoid e perfromance or stuck off.

I'd start with test for the 0842 and 0843. Both point to the Pressure Switch A - 2nd clutch....one is a short, the other is an open circuit. So either the wire to it has something going on or the switch is going bad. Testing would be needed to decide which it is.
