My neighbor has an 03 Accord with a radio issue. The radio will play AM/FM no problem, but will not let her load/eject CDs. She said it is giving an error message when trying to use the CD player. Anyone have any ideas or ran into this problem before? I haven't checked to see if her screen is dim yet, which would qualify her for the PCB replacement as she just mentioned it to me tonight. I have done some searching and it seems these Accord radios are prone to all sorts of issues. I will check the condition of her display and possibly do a full reset by unhooking the battery to see if that will clear anything up. I'm also thinking that perhaps the CD got stuck and is jammed. Anyone had a stuck CD cause a similar problem before? Thanks for your help in advance.

My Girlfriend's '05 has this problem. Haven't found a solution yet, other than replacing it. Its $4-500.

Yeah, your cd player is dead... had this problem with my old 01 civic

I have the same problem. I tried disconnecting the battery after i reconnected it; it no longer showed the cd's in the player. I called my Honda dealer and they want $630 +tax for a new one. Seems kinda steeeeep for a stock radio; im thinking about getting the mp3 adapter and just call it good; unless i can find a simple solution for fixing mine. Im still looking for solutions... please let me know if you figure it out; i'll do the same.
