Default wrong ecu? help asap

i just finished an auto to manual swap on my 96 accord ex, i ordered the 96 ex ecu to do the swap, now when i rev up to 5k rpms my motor seems to bog down, it acts like its reached its rev limit at 5 then bogs down at 5.5k, did they send the lx ecu? or is it because i have a check engine light for my evap controll valve

please help asap

yep. just google the serial number and you should come up with something.

the serial number should go something like 37820-XXX-YYY

XXX tells you the year/make (i.e. POA = 94/95 VTEC; POB = 94/95 non-VTEC...)

YYY tells you if its for auto or manual (atleast thats how it is with OBDI)

im not very familiar with 96-97 obd II ECUs but I think POH is for VTEC and POJ is for non-VTEC (?).

i looked on the ecu today, its different than my auto ecu, my original ecu was a poh, and the one they sent was poj, i should be able to get another one since they have a 90 day guarantee

sounds good. i think since its the wrong ecu its in limp mode thats why it feels like its hitting the rev limit.

i finally got the ecu in yesterday, its great, vtec screams and is much faster feeling than the auto, i still have a bad sensor (evap purge solenoid) or i didnt do a good job sealing the intake manifold after i took it apart, the ecu is searching for an idle, but it doesnt do it as much now, like its fixing itself
