Default Wheel alignment couldn't be done

So I just got a new set of tires and I go to my local shop to get a laser wheel alignment done. I'm sitting there for like 30 min and the guy comes in and tells me that the wheel alignment couldn't be performed on my car due to either a bent frame, or strut bar problem.

I've been researching new front struts for my 1996 Honda Accord LX, and all I have found is upper struts that mount over the engine. Now since I'm a little confused as to why a stock 96 honda would have a front strut bar in the first place, or was this guy talking about the lower tie bar.

All in all, last year I ran into a big storm drain with my right front wheel and the car's steering wheel is tilted to the left now and the car pulls to the left, and the right front fender is dented in from the previous owner of the car.

So what I am asking is, are the guys at the shop just screwing around with me for more money, or do is there something really wrong with my strut (lower?), or worse yet.. do you think the frame is bent and how much would that cost to repair?

Thanks.

Thanks.</TD></TR></TABLE> You likely bent something. Those model year accords have pretty limited alignment adjustments and the slightest tweak will move it beyond spec. The strut bar has nothing to do with the alignment he most likely said you have a damaged strut.

lol .. he put down "strut bar" on the print-out he gave me. Should I go with OEM strut replacement or is there an after market for that?
