Default 02 accordSE 4 cyl. wont start in cold weather

Runs like a charm except in cold weather. dealership cant find a reason.
when its cold it turns but engine will not kick in, you can go back in 5 min. or 3 days later and it starts right back like nothing happened. however i cant depend on it like this. does anyone have or had this problem and could share info. as to how i can fix this. What throws us off is in the hard winter we took it to the dealership and it started for them 5 days and when I picked it up it didnt start the next morning. thank you

maybe you have a lot of water/ice in the fuel lines, etc.. try buying a bottle of water absorber ("isoheet"?) or something (about 2 dollars) and add that to your tank.

my car would start up briefly and then shut out two seconds later this past winter season. i treated the fuel with the absorber and haven't had that problem since.

Another possibility is the main relay. Soldering joints on that chip board get fractured and develop electrical resistance that is affected by temperature, although usually in hot temperature. Try resoldering those joints or replacing the relay.

Very common reasons include:
fuel level
battery life and/or bad cables
starter
ignition
insufficient fuel delivery (filter, relay)
excessive engine wear
fuel contamination
Bad ECM/PCM or main relay

Mine did the same thing and it was a combo of the battery, starter, and plugs (gap was too wide)
