it is recommened that the washer be replaced every time you change your oil
I would also suggest going to the auto parts store and buying a magnetic drain plug, especially if you drive hard

As far as the crush washer goes... I've had my Accord since it had all of 36K on the odometer and it's up to 210,000 now, I've never changed the crush washer... Acutally I never took the time to read the manual on that one... OOPS. Damn I've done about 50 oil changes on my Accord... Wonder how much money I dropped on gas! All well worth it.

I've never torqued a single nut or bolt on my car because either my torque wrench does not go low enough, or it doesn't fit where the nut/bolt is.

Replaced rotors twice. Yeah I torque the lugnuts, but that's about it. The torque wrench is eternally set at 80 ft-lbs.

Nope. Didn't torque the 4 bolts holding the rotor to the hub, just tightened each as tight as I could with a 1/2 inch ratchet. No problems so far. I woulda torqued the spindle nut, but my torque wrench doesn't go that high (181 ft-lbs IIRC).
