Help identifying knock sensor...
2000 Honda accord LX 5sp manual, 2.3L 4cyl vtec, F23A1
I recieved a knock sensor today from a Honda specific junk yard and when I opened it, it's clearly different from what was on my car and what I recieved before from the same junk yard.
On the left is my original broken KS, in the middle is the 1st KS I recieved, which was cracked making it possible to slightly move the plastic independently of the metal base- in other words just about to break open. You can see I added a JB weld collar around the sensor to reinforce it , and I believe it is usable now unless the JB weld collar creates an issue with the sensors reading of vibrations. On the right is the sensor I recieved today- clearly different. Does anyone know if this is a KS used on hondas? It's hard to believe these guys would send me something that wouldn't work especially being a replacement order, but maybe they did. There are no marks of any type on the KS recieved today (far right KS).
