Re: Vtec?
the boring way is to look at your trunk lid and see which submodel accord you have. If its an EX, you have vtec.
the other way to check is to floor it down a striahgt road and if you feel a slight boost or a change in engine sound around 4-5k rpm, thats vtec pretty much.

Re: Vtec?
Well if you want to get any help on Honda-tech, first you need to get Grammar Mod GSV (grade school version) off ebay. Then we'll be able to understand you. But from what I got, you are wondering if your VTEC is "hooked" up to your car...if your valve cover says VTEC somewhere on it, it is hooked up. If your car is an EX or SI, you have VTEC. Listen to my cousin and floor it and listen for the noise and slight power increase. As my other cousin would explain it, it sounds like an "mmmmmmmmBAAAAHHH" hahahaa. Anyways, enjoy your vtec...unless you blew your solenoid

Re: Vtec?
no you dont have to turn it on, the word vtec explains itself... v=variable
t=timing e=electronically c=controlled... meaning when your car hits around
5000 rpms your car will automatically(electronically) bet turned on by it self
and when it goes below 5000 rpms it is kicked off.. but they make vtec
controllers that you can adjust the vtec to kick in whenever you want from
1000 rpms to 9000 rpms.... it was kinda brief , but hope that helps you out
some..

Gee, I wonder why people have been rude to you before! Listen man i'm clearly not the only one. Sorry if it came off as harsh but NO ONE understands you. Would it kill you to take a few seconds to reword your thoughts into something comprehensible? That is the only way you are going to get the help you are looking for on this forum, and the real world for that matter. If you only state half your thoughts, only half your questions will get answered. Just be clear in what you're saying because it's not hard.

Re: Vtec?
yeah assuming you know where the vtec sillinoid is there should be a wire leading to it and it should be pluged in. Sometimes if it's a loose conection the wire can fall out disingaging the sillinoid thus no vtec.
