i put some clay on the block and tuned the engine over its close but has about .025 clearance from rod to block if it would have been real close the rod would have cut the clay in to slices

if its not hitting, its probably not going to hit. .but its easier to do it now!

did you have to notch the block a bunch already, like people do with D series builds?

looking awesome dude.

i am going to put my head on there one day this week to see if the valve clearance looks ok. i talked to bisi he told me if my stock cam has a valve clearance to piston of
.100 than i should be good with his cam. trying to find a h23 intake manifold. i got a h22 intake i just dont feel like making a adaptor plat for it

.1 that must be millimeters right?

.050" P2H and P2V would be more than enough. So I'm guessing that 0.1mm is what he's referring too.

i ask bisi will his reground turbo 1.2 cam change my p2v
here is what he emailed me

Yes, the pistons to valve will be changed. If you currently have at least 0.090" on the intake and 0.100" exhaust clearances, then you will be fine. If not, you will have to notch your valve reliefs. We look forward to your order.

Thank you for your interest in Bisimoto Engineering's technology.

The man must know what he's talking about then. I have no idea about FI engines and clearances. All I know is that I am shooting for a .035" (.89mm) P2H & P2V clearance and your going for .1" (2.5mm) That is a safe P2V clearance to shoot for.

what he is sayn is that his regrind cam have more lift vs stock cam. so if my stock cam have .100 p2v then his cam will give me more lift. so if i have .100 on a stock cam than i should be fine with the higher lift cam. which could be like .030 p2v when i put the new cam in

Exactly. Measure your p2v clearance with your stock cam and if you have at least what Bisi stated, then you'll be good.

And man, congrats and good job on being original. I had actually thought about this a few years ago when I was helping a buddy put together his 4g63. But back then I didn't know a damn thing, lol.

I wonder how well that dish will work with our combustion chamber. Those H22 rods will give you a lot less side loading on those sleeves and will allow you to rev higher, more safely.

A few questions though. Why do you want to use an H22 manifold? I'd get an H23 manifold, gut the hell out of it and get rid of the IAB spacer. Then mate a 70mm tb to it. That should be plenty of breathing power right there.
What turbo manifold are you going with?

For controlling the VGT turbo, you'll have to use a gold rom with Crome Pro. The reason being is that is has a few outputs you can control. Or go the easier way and use an internal wastegate.

i have bought a h23 manifold on ebay last night to do this i got it for 21$ i am debating to upgrade to ectune or stay crome.
the only reason for using a h22 manifold was that i had one to use

Have you bought Crome yet? If not, I'd buy the eCtune/demon package. You'll be happy you did.

Crome Pro-150
Ostrich v2 175
datalogging cable-28

$353

eCtune/demon
$399

ahh, I'd stick with crome then. Unless you just have a few extra hundred dollars laying around and really want eCtune. I doubt it'll make much difference in power, especially if you're already used to Crome and it's "bugs".

So you measure your stock cam P2V and if it is .090" & .100" Bisi says his cam will fit with no work needed. I understand that, you want to make sure his cam will fit without valve relief work before you buy it. That's cool.

Now are you planning to clay your motor again if/when you buy an after market cam? I would suggest that you do. At least that way you will know for sure what your clearances are instead of going in blind? Knowing all your clearances may come in handy some day down the road.

yeah i am going to clay it with the bisi cam. i just tought if it looked close while the cam was getting ground i could take the motor all back apart and mill the valve relief out.

Thanks thats great stuff. Do you know of any one using h22 valve springs? Or do you know any dual valve spring website for f22?

In order to run dual valve springs you will need to machine the head. The outside diameter of the outer spring is larger than the machined diameter of the spring seat and pocket.

Why do you want dual springs? The single springs are more than enough.
