Unless there's some secret handshake that will release it, I see no other way than replacing the column lock mechanism.
By your question, I presume the key works but the lock doesn't release, right?

If that's your only option.

You've got two choices:
1) Remove the electrical portion, soak the lock in solvent and relube it OR
2) Purchase a new one and install it.
In both cases, you'll need two of those security screws to remount the thing.

And remember, until you get it addressed;
Keep the registration with you at all times. You don't want to be arrested for stealing your own car....
Find some way to disable it. There's no way to lock the column now

how would i do this? i have nothin' to my name so a replacement is not an option right now
and it sounds a lot better then drilling a hole in my lock, which i have no idea how to do in the first place.

Any others suggestions peepole of honda-tech??
Thank You

Default Steering Wheel Locked up, removing to fix - help?

Well here it goes i'm pulling it and i know it should be simple but with no experience with cars, and not knowing some one who does, here i am..

exposed the lock and i was about pull it, and then this small plastic part came out

the little part is the tab from the top hole latch, it still fits back in fine and doesn't slip back out but what is it?

and if anyone knows an an easier way of starting your car when the steering wheel won't unlock PM me(so the honda-thieves won't google it) thank you
