Default transmission

i have a 1994 honda accord ex and my transmission was getting weird shifting into third to where it would spike so i had the transmission fixed and it continued to proceed so i was wondering if its maybe a different engine because they might have put a lx transmission in not and ex they said it didnt make a difference what kind of trim because they all have the same is this true? and if so could i do something to fix it without getting a new transmission

They are correct. Not that much of a difference where you can tell. And putting in an LX trans won't cause that issue at all.
