Default Timing Belt

Ok guys timing belt broke on my h22 motor in my 96 accord when i was on the highway. When i was coming down the highway the car just shuts off completly with no signs at all. I had this happen to my f22b1 motor and when my timing belt snapped it sounds like someone threw a bunch of rocks in the engine. So i took the car to the dealership to check to see if the valves where bent (that's right check?) so they said it had no bent valves. The h22 did not sound like that it just shut off. So was their any permenent damage done?? I went to honda and bought a whole timing belt kit with the water pump seals and the whole nine. So i'm goin to put it on tonight to see if i had any bent valves.

ok guys i done the whole 9 with the timing belt thing but there is more. We had the issue of the motor turning as we was doin the timing belt. So what we done is to stop the motor from turning we had to stop the pressure plate and the flywheel from rotating. Come to find out we get some rattling noises like a bunch of rocks in the tranny where we put the bar between the pressure plate and the flywheel. I know this is my first time doing this so i will be pulling the tranny tommorrow to do the pressure plate and maybe the flywheel. It's always something with this car. but u learn from ur mistakes.

ok now that i have started the car up and it ran. The next day i went out to start it back up. no signs of starting it up or even any spark coming from the plugs. did the car jump timing by any chance and mess up the distrubitor? (spelling is not good at this point). I don't understand because i took it around the block to see what it will do and when i got it back it ran for a couple of minutes and shut off.
