Start and stall problems on 1994 LX
i noticed that the car wont start in hot weather.
It definitely starts up in cooler weather. At night or early in the morning.
Soimetimes it'll start, bog down, and stall. When it does that, if i try to give it gas it'll immediately stall out.
So far I've replaced the plugs, wires, dizzy cap and rotor.
Fuel has pressure.
I think its the main relay because even when the engine is cool but the interior is hot it happens. And if I leave the door open and get some air in there it'll start up.
But the weird thing is that when I first start it up it'll go to the normal 1500rpm cold. Then when I shut it off and restart, it'll shoot up to 1500 come down to about 400 bog a little and then go back to about 800 or 900 and idle fine.
It drives perfect after it does start. Idles down a little low sometimes at red lights but never dies.
my question is:
Can I rule out the main relay if it starts but stalls? and is there a way I can test the main relay for sure?
Possibly the ICM? Any ideas or suggestions?
