spindle nut
i am trying to get the spindle nut off my right front axel on my 1992 accord wagon and i am wondering if i need to do it with and impact wrench or just a rachet? What size socket is it. two of the lug studs broke off before i needed to do this and i dont know that i can put the car back on that wheel without further damaging it.

Re: spindle nut (djcslice)
Make sure you "unstake" the axle (spindle) nut, then either use an impact (keep switching from reverse to forward and back to get it loose) or use a ratchet with a super *** long breaker bar. The size should be either a 32mm or 36mm.

Re: spindle nut (Hondaaccordvtec)
Get a good breaker bar and KickAss Tool #2 and it will come right off with a bit of leverage.
KickAss Tool #1 ===> 36" Crow Bar
KickAss Tool #2 ===> 36" Hollow Steel Pipe
KickAss Tool #3 ===> Mallet
