main fuel relay
a couple months ago i changed out my fuel pump thinking it had gone out. after all that trouble i found out it was just the main relay. after a few weeks my fuel pump is not running anymore. i bought a new relay bunt thats not the problem and i cannot figure out what it is

Re: main fuel relay
Be careful with the conclusion that the fuel pump isn't running - it only runs for 2 seconds at a time if the engine doesn't start. For example, when you turn the switch to the "run" position the pump runs for two seconds and shuts off. When you crank the engine the pump runs while cranking, runs for two seconds after you quit cranking, then turns off.
Other top suspects are the ignition switch (the warning lights do not light) and the igniter - no spark. I'm assuming the timing belt was changed on schedule so we don't have to worry about the belt being broken.

Re: main fuel relay
Agreed with above. Quick way to confirm fuel pump problem is to test for fuel pressure. Either with a gauge at the Shraeder Valve (what year is your car?); or at the fuel filter (don't discount a clogged filter reducing flow/pressure.)
After that start with confirming spark at the spark plugs. If you have spark at the plugs then everything upstream is working and should be fine (unless the spark is weak.) If you don't pull the dist. cap and test coil and ignitor with a multimeter.

Re: main fuel relay
the fuel pump does not start up at all. and all the lights turn on. last time i checked my spark plugs they all worked just fine. i have not checked the fuel pressure but if there is not fuel running at all then how could that be the problem?
